Another wonderful year has past and JAM would like
to acknowledge a few of the Highlights of 2008.

Tap Dancers Win Gold in Germany |
In December, three JAM dancers became World Champions after bringing home gold medals for Team Canada at the International Tap Dance
Championships. Alyssa Chilco, Bridget Riberdy (junior team) and Andrea D'Amour (senior
team) travelled to Reisa, Germany to compete for Canada and are thrilled to have
captured the gold.

B.A.T.D. Scholarship
Katy Schultz was recognized in July for her outstanding ballet technique, when she was nominated by an examiner of the B.A.T.D.(British Association of Teachers of Dance)
to attend scholarship classes.
Katy recently participated in these classes with girls from various provinces. |

New Associate Member
Congratulations to Sara Okorn. Sara was successful in her associate ballet
examination and is now an associate member of the B.A.T.D. (British Association
of Teachers of Dance) - ballet division. |

Hard Work Pays Off
Each year at our annual recital show in June, JAM and
Sequins Plus acknowledge dancers who have stood out over the season. These
dancers may be competitive or recreational and must exhibit hard work and
strong commitment to dance. The recipients of the 2008 award were Victoria Lamont,
Jaide McLeod and Kaitlyn Pringle. |

Vanessa Sudar is Junior Grand Champion |
At the Western New York Dance Championships in May, 2008 Vanessa Sudar was crowned Junior Grand Champion. Vanessa's acrobatic solo received the highest junior score of the competition, outscoring 127 other routines to claim the coveted title. This is the 3rd consecutive year that a routine from JAM has claimed this title.

Workshop Scholarship
At the Starcatchers Festival in March, Sarah Camacho
was selected by a panel of judges to attend a weekend intensive workshop.
Sarah spent the weekend learning from top choreographers and had a great time. |
